ADD International Tanzania is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting disability rights and inclusive development in Tanzania. Established in 1985, ADD International Tanzania works to empower persons with disabilities to lead dignified lives and participate fully in society. One of the core objectives of ADD International Tanzania is to advocate for the rights of persons with disabilities and ensure their inclusion in all aspects of social, economic, and political life. The organization works closely with local communities, government agencies, and other stakeholders to raise awareness about disability rights, challenge stigma and discrimination, and advocate for the implementation of policies and laws that protect and promote the rights of persons with disabilities. ADD International Tanzania also focuses on improving access to essential services such as healthcare, education, and employment for persons with disabilities. Through capacity-building programs, they empower individuals and organizations within the disability community to advocate for their rights effectively and access the support they need to live independently and participate fully in society. ADD International Tanzania supports economic empowerment initiatives for persons with disabilities, including skills training, entrepreneurship programs, and access to microfinance opportunities.
